Le grand bois, originally a cognac producing farmstead, has been tastefully converted into our home together with two gites and an enclosed swimming pool in our large wooded garden. La Vieille Etable~Gitehas 6 bedrooms and sleeps up to 12 people and La Petite Grange~Gitewith 1 bedroom sleeps up to 4. Both gites are Charente Tourisme classified. Le grand bois was constructed around the 1850's as a small farm with outbuildings around a courtyard, with a well providing the water supply, a stone oven in which to bake the bread and stables for the farm animals.
