La Treille is an original but modernised house set in a Medieval Village with a castle, 15 minutes from Nice airport. Unlike its sister village, St Paul de Vence, it is totally uncommercialised and still functions as proper French village with a school, communal laundry, 2 shops etc but also a number of excellent restaurants. There is a free bus operating from outside La Treille every 15 mins which goes down to Cagnes sur Mer where one can take a bus for 1 euro to Cannes, Nice, Grasse and many other neighbouring towns or visit the beach.
